Science Clubs in Full Swing
Our STEM coordinator Miss Salzen has been leading Year 10 GEMS club this term who are working on a project investigating fingerprints on surfaces, and making links to forensics science. Mrs Taylor who has worked in forensics science gave a talk to the group to give them an insight into what it's like working in this field, how fingerprints are taken and the chemistry behind this.
Year 8 STEM club has also been running, led by Miss Salzen and Mrs Langdon. Students have carried out a range of practical activities including working with burners, filtration, using microscopes and building electrical circuits.
