England’s Children's Commissioner visits Denbigh Students
On Monday 10th May, we were delighted to welcome Dame Rachel de Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England, to Denbigh. Dame Rachel took the time to speak with a variety of students from all years about their experiences during lockdown, and how they have been affected by Covid-19, as part of The Big Ask initiative.
The idea behind this initiative is to help us to build back better, following a year of interrupted education, ensuring that moving forwards we consider the student voice at the heart of making important decisions about education which will affect us all.
Dame Rachel, a dear friend of Denbigh High School, was Deputy Headteacher from 2004 to 2006.
