Denbigh Receives SSAT Accreditation for Transforming Practice in Variety of Teaching Approaches & Wellbeing
We are delighted to have been credited with Transforming Practice in both Variety of Teaching Practices and Wellbeing, by the SSAT. As an SSAT Leading Edge School, we are delighted to have been recognised for the commitment and dedication that we have to ensure the highest quality teaching and learning, and pastoral care takes place here at Denbigh.
Additionally, we have been recognised for our continuous commitment to creating a culture of wellbeing as a top priority for our students, staff, and families.
As part of the assessment process, Denbigh provided written applications and undertook a peer moderation with another school from across the country to showcase our excellence in both of these areas before presenting to an independent moderator in the final stages.
Our moderator wrote, ‘online schooling has a focus for all staff and students, not just a minority who felt confident with technological tools for learning’. The embedded culture of the use of technology, both in and beyond the classroom, was celebrated.
With regards to Wellbeing the report recognised, ‘all staff play a key role in keeping children safe and protecting student mental health.’
Both accolades are gratefully received, and we thank all staff and students for their contributions during this rigorous assessment process.
