Students awarded for their academic achievement

7 June 2010

Denbigh High School Students Niloy Biswas, Ferdouse Akhter, Kolima Akthare, Taslima Hussain, Hasnat Abul Niloy, Kelly Sinclair and Mark Noble have all been recognised for their academic achievement in English at the recent Ludlow Awards.

The Ludlow Awards are part of the English Speaking Union's promotion of English across the world and it is the second time that Denbigh students have received awards for their academic achievement in English at this prestigious event.

The sponsor of the event was Mr. Derek Ludlow, a local Luton businessman. Mr. Ludlow, along with the Former Vice Chancellor of Bedfordshire University, Dr Tony Wood, spoke at the event and awarded the certificates and prizes to the students and others from six other schools in Luton.

It was a very enjoyable and successful evening and one that hopefully the students will remember as a proud moment in their career at Denbigh High School.

Well done to you all.
