In 2015 we had our best ever outcome for the number of students earning at least 5 good passes at grades A*-C including English and mathematics; and this standard places Denbigh as the highest performing secondary school in Luton.
The Department for Education has recently released validated indicators for schools in England and we are delighted to confirm that 70% of Denbigh students gained the standard detailed above.
In addition, we now know that Denbigh’s ‘best-8’ value added score for 2015 is reported at 1041 points; 1000 indicates students broadly achieving as might be expected across their best 8 subject scores.
There were 3487 schools in England reporting this measure and Denbigh holds 90th position this year, nationally. This is a great outcome in relation to a very significant measure, as it captures success across the full range of students’ successes and achievements.
