Denbigh receives the International School Award

18 September 2015

We are pleased to announce that Denbigh High School has once again been successful in being re-accredited for the International School Award and is accredited for three years from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2018. This is the 3rd time that the school has received the Award.

The Award celebrates the whole school approach to international teaching and learning and demonstrates that our school promotes positive and global attitudes, encourages an appreciation of diversity and prepares our students for global citizenship.

The British Council complemented us on our excellent international and local learning activities as well as on our creativity and innovative work. Some of the activities include the Year 7 inter-schools Spelling Bee Competition; the weather data collection shared and compared with a school in India; the exchange with Pen Pals living in France, Spain, Pakistan and Bangladesh and Year 9 planning and leading the Denbigh Primary school song day competition.

We would like to thank the MFL team and all staff and students who have taken part in the activities.
