We are pleased to announce that Dallow Primary School has converted to Academy status and has now joined the Chiltern Learning Trust with Denbigh High School as the lead sponsor.
The Chiltern Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust currently comprising of Denbigh High School, Challney High School for Boys and Dallow Primary School and it is led by a Board of Directors which consists of representatives from all three schools with Dame Yasmin Bevan as Chief Executive. Each school also has its own local governing body.
Although each school retains its individual identity and history, the desire for excellence and high achievement for all learners, regardless of their background or ability, is the common underpinning feature of all three schools. We will be working together, using our very best teachers and leaders to raise the outcomes and opportunities for every child, sharing best practice and expertise amongst staff to raise participation and narrow gaps in achievement.
The schools within the Trust will also continue to work extensively with other schools both locally and nationally through the Chiltern Teaching School Alliance, which is also part of the Trust.
Chief Executive, Dame Yasmin Bevan, said:
“I am delighted to confirm that Dallow Primary School has now converted to Academy status and has joined us as part of the Chiltern Learning Trust.
“The Trust seeks to promote and celebrate the individual and collective achievements of all three schools by ensuring we work closely together to improve outcomes and opportunities for our pupils. We already do this in many ways, but the Trust arrangement provides a stronger basis for this collaboration.
“We welcome our Dallow colleagues and their pupils into our learning community and I look forward to us sharing a successful future together.”
Dallow’s Headteacher, Linda Nouch, added:
“We are delighted to be joining the Chiltern Learning Trust as an Academy. This conversion is a ‘new chapter’ in the 115 year history of Dallow Primary School and we will be working closely with Denbigh High School and Challney High School for Boys who will support us in ensuring that all pupils at Dallow continue to be successful, confident and happy.”
