Curriculum Developments

19 March 2014
At Denbigh High School we have reviewed our curriculum for September 2014 to make sure our pupils get the best provision in the light of national changes.
As a result, all pupils in years 7 and 8 will continue to study the full range of subjects. In year 9 they will study option subjects that lead on to GCSE and BTEC qualifications.
Our curriculum will also continue to offer a good range of activities so that pupils develop a love of wider learning and become responsible citizens. This will ensure that they acquire the attitudes and skills which enable them to progress successfully on to the next stage of their lives as well as having the best chance of achieving excellent academic qualifications. These rich and varied experiences include educational visits, sporting opportunities, theatre trips and music workshops which are regularly featured in Denbigh News.
More details of the new curriculum are available in the Curriculum Booklet.  Copies of the booklet are available from the school and will be given to all year 8 and 9 parents at Options Evenings.
