We are very pleased to announce that this year's GCSE results are our best on record.

- 70% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades including English and Mathematics (UP 16% ON LAST YEAR)

- 35% of students achieved 3 A* and A grades (UP 6% ON LAST YEAR)

- 40% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) (UP 6% ON LAST YEAR)

Our partner school, Challney High School for Boys, also did exceptionally well with 65% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades including English and Mathematics (UP 11% ON LAST YEAR).

Colin Townsend, Acting Principal, praised the students for their enormous achievements.

"We have secured the school’s best ever GCSEs in terms of pupils gaining 5 or more good passes including English and mathematics, with 70%. Pupils know that I call this GCSE bundle the gold standard as it is their passport to future courses and choices in life. Success rarely comes without a tremendous amount of hard work on the part of teachers, families and crucially the young people. So in a time when there is on-going reported volatility in the exams system I am doubly delighted to reflect on Denbigh’s outcomes and high standards this year – also with some phenomenal individual successes including four students who each earn 12 passes at grades A*/A."
