On Tuesday 10th March, Denbigh held its annual dance show.
The evening saw around 80 students perform from all year groups to a packed out audience. The evening contained many styles of dance including Bhangra, contemporary, street, and hip hop. Students performed their own choreography and dances which they had learnt during lessons and extra curricular clubs.
Some of the many highlights include the performance from a large group of mixed year 7 students who performed their own version of Matthew Bournes Nutcracker; they had worked on the piece during their PE lessons and they performed excellently on the evening.
A group of GCSE year 10 students choreographed and performed an exceptional piece which was inspired by the 1950's and Grease, it was clear that they had put a great deal of time and effort into the piece. There was also a memorable boys vaulting gymnastic display that was created by Mr Smith and had everyone on the edge of their seats as they performed some extremely daring vaults!
All students involved worked very hard leading up to the show and put in many hours during lunch, breaks and after school. All students performed to a very high standard and were a true credit to themselves and the school. Many thanks go to everyone who supported the evening and to all the staff for their help.
