Conversion to Academy status

15 October 2010

The Secretary of State has signed the funding agreement which confirms our academy status with effect from 1 November 2010.

The academy will be known as Denbigh High School and we will continue to ensure that the change in status will have a beneficial impact on standards and the opportunities we offer pupils in our local community.

The following video is from the DfE website and is from Dame Yasmin's visit to the Downing Street reception with Prime Minister, David Cameron for the first wave of schools converting to academy status on 17 November 2010. The video is one of a number of short clips where headteachers talk about the benefits of becoming an academy.
