Achievement and Standards

We are a high-achieving school with an excellent track record for academic and wider achievement. In our last full inspection, Ofsted judged Denbigh to be “an outstanding school, which has made significant improvements since the last inspection and has excellent capacity to go on and improve further". We are currently the highest performing secondary school in Luton, ranked in 1st place in the 2015 GCSE examinations.

In 2013 we were recognised by SSAT as one of the top two schools nationally for achieving the highest Key Stage 4 value-added scores for student achievement in GCSE examinations, and we are currently in the top 100 state funded schools in England based on the same measure.

We have also received national recognition for other achievements including:

  • SSAT Educational Outcomes Award 2014
  • Association for Physical Education Quality Mark Award
  • Youth Sport Trust ‘Gold Partner School’ for our commitment to PE and school sport.
  • NAACE ICT mark
  • becoming a Leading Edge school in recognition of our commitment to collaboration and innovation.
