"High achievement for all is our shared responsibility"

Modern Foreign Languages Spelling Bee

On Wednesday 30th January Denbigh Year 7 French and Spanish students took part in a very exciting, informative and all round enjoyable Spelling Bee vocabulary competition in the school hall. The competition was well-attended by fellow students, staff and parents and the standard was very high. This resulted in three overall winners on the day due to there not being any way of differentiating the scores. We are incredibly proud to report this news and would like to congratulate all that took part in this brilliant event and give a special congratulations to all those students that spent time learning how to spell 50 new words in Spanish and French. This is a fantastic commitment and shows a great attitude, resilience and work ethic from Year 7 students who are demonstrating themselves to be noble ambassadors of Denbigh High school.

“When our team won, me and my fellow companions were very excited and happy as we practised a lot and revised for a long time. We were delighted when we found out that we were going to Chiltern to do the second part of the Spelling bee Competition. I am looking forward to our next achievement”
