Denbigh One of Top Fifty Schools for Exceptional Use of Education Technology
This month, staff from Denbigh attended a prestigious event at the House of Lords as the school was announced as being an Edtech 50 School. The Edtech 50 Schools list is a celebration of the work going on in schools across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland that use education technology to support great teaching and enhance learning. The Edtech 50 Schools were selected by a distinguished judging panel supported by Intel, Jisc, NetSupport and in partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching, Independent Schools Council and TES. The report that accompanies the list highlights digital flagship schools such as Denbigh who demonstrate a focused sense of what is useful in terms of technology – whether it be in supporting teaching, cutting teacher workload, collaborating across staff teams or consolidating knowledge, enhancing creativity and broadening experiences across the curriculum.
Ty Goddard, Director, Education Foundation Edtech UK, said:
We asked schools to demonstrate a range of work using education technology, strategic focus and an ability to articulate impact in ways they thought important as educators. Across the UK we have education technology strategies shaped by governments and educators and we hope the Edtech 50 Schools will support learning, innovation and knowledge.
